If you know anything about me, you likely know that I looooooove chocolate…not many women out there don’t though of course. So for all of you chocolate lovers, here is a delightful chocolate frosting recipe to surely please your taste buds. It is quick, easy, and you can easily increase the batch by whipping for a longer period of time on high speed. It adds a little light and fluffiness to it.
2 stick of salted butter, softened
4 cups of powdered sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 Tbsp milk
3 tsp vanilla extract
1. Whisk together powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
2. Cream butter in mixer.
3. Slowly add in powdered combo a little at a time alternating with milk.
4. Mix in vanilla.
5. To make frosting lighter and fluffier, beat with whisk in mixer on high speed until batch increases in size.
6. Place frosting in piping bag with desired tip for decorative cupcakes.
This frosting also works well for icing cakes. I made my 3 year old’s birthday cake with it and it turned out great!
